Sorry if this was discussed before but can someone please tell me how to remove the silver wire mesh from the mic grille? I was able to get the black plastic ring out from a top the condenser capsule but I can't get the other stuff out.
Also, and this is unrelated.... Is it common for the XLR connectors (of the 219) to become intermittent? I initially thought it was my cable but other mics are OK. The 219 seems to work fine or just drop off suddenly, only to be resurrected back to life with a disconnect / connect of the cable. WTF?
