Okay, I don't know why, but lets try:I agree with the others, although I can't listen to the myspace link. Nothing comes up.
I found part of the problem in the speakers are a good foot below my ears on the desk. Gonna have to raise them up as it sounds completely different when you get in FRONT of them.I have Rokit 8s as well, and lemme tell you, your mix is super bright. Set your monitors flat. You should hear it killing your ears unless something else is wrong.
When I get something like this, I start my mix from scratch. Remove EQ, pull all the faders back to off. Start then bring up the instruments, get them to sit right, start getting the tone the way I need it, then bring up the main vocals next to last, then background vocals.
You really should not try to fix this, you should mix from the beginning. I think the song is better than your allowing it to be.
OK. Listened to the latest remix on the wife's computer (as well as checked links). It sounds much worse on her 5.1 Cambridge Audio system. Sub kicks too hard and still too much on the top (like someone's kicked a Loudness contour in. I'll have to look at the Master Maximizer in Reason (that's the only place I know in the chain that has that function)). But the links both worked as well as googling "myspace/broken43" This is becoming a mystery. It sounds right on my computer. Through the 8s and through my Denon cans. But horrid on my wife's cheapo 2' speakers. Sounded tinny, but not bad on the bass on the Bose system in the next room...still needed tweaked down.![]()
