I'm wondering if anyone has any tips for getting a job in an actual studio (Granted this is HOMErecording.com)? I've made a list of studios and their numbers from google and i was curious i their are any tips to getting your foot in the door. I mainly want to learn from the experience but i also need to get paid :) so i was hoping to kill two birds with one stone. This isn't a solicitation i'm just looking for feedback.Thanks.

Work a day job and take an unpaid internship? That's probably the most likely route.

I bet having a decent portfolio of music you had recorded wouldn't hurt.

*Caveat: I'm mostly just guessing. I know one person in real life who's gone the unpaid internship route. It's worked out pretty well for him though.
