On Cool Edit Pro is never asks you if you want to start a project at a certain bit rate. I have a 24 bit card so I want to ensure that I'm fully utilizing all the bits.

Where do I check to ensure that this is the case?

Also one last question. Why is that Cool Edit Pro asks you to press OK for every freakin track when you go to save....

How can I just save the project and that's it?

Thanks for any feedback

If you go to the File menu in the multitrack view and select " new session" it will pop up a window that will allow you to select bit depth as well as sample rate and mono or stereo tracks. It shows 16 or 32 bit depth as options, but if you select 32 with a 24 bit card,it will display "recording as 24 bit" down on the lower left of the toolbar as you record.

Good luck!

If I'm not mistaken, you can get Cool to save everything with one click in two different ways. First, try clicking on 'Save All' instead of just 'Save' when the save dialog comes up. Second, instead of Save, try Save As, and when it asks you to set up the saving location, be sure that the little box in the lower left hand corner is ticked - the one that says something like 'Save all Associated Files'.

OK

In 2.0 you go to 1 file menu 2 then "Save all" to save all the files.....

That's better.

THanks guys.

Check out Dobro's post "Cool file management workshop". There are some pretty good posts on hownto avoid the mess.

Hard-luck
