Is that emo?

jk dude -

I think it sounds pretty good - interesting transitions. Sounds pretty balanced but I am not at my monitors.
Listened to Miner - I think i would enjoy that live. I can't think of anything, and don't hear anything that really stands out as needing help. Sounds good.

dashboard confesh braaa... nope not emo haha. thanks though man. glad you liked it. We're starting to gather some momentum here in va beach

Listening on crappy earbuds, but I thought I'd give my opinion. ...and my opinion is that this stuff is well-done. Listened to Miner and Lying Dormant. Songs are well written, and musicianship is well done, too. Mix is pretty good. Drums seem a bit uneven. Snare is crazy loud, and the kick is pretty much buried throughout. I am on crappy earbuds, though, so I may be way, way off. Vocals sound balanced and well-seated.

Listening more, something about the snare sounds muffled, too. Like.... It's a great-sounding snare, and I wanna hear the nuances more... Even though it's super loud in the mix, I can't really hear it breathe.

Overall the sound is way above average. Good sound, dude.

yea lying dormant was a bit of a challenge mix wise because of the driving guitars but i think i know what you mean. My drummer isnt quite as consistent as id like and some hits will crack through like they should while others would sit back a bit too much and no amount of parallel compression could compensate for even hits haha. appreciate the listen man. thanks

are you serious dude? haha ok.. well im pretty sure arcadeko was joking so don't just take his post literally and try and jump on a bandwagon. I hate emo.. Im not emo and neither is my band. thanks.

I also listened to the miner. Very good production... all good... but hard to follow...

The variety of the sounds leaves no hook, sinker, or anchor. It all sounds fantastic, but needs to try less to impress and be more coherent.

P.S. There seems to be some Serious intent that's getting lost.

by intent are you talking about lyrics? I think i know what you mean man.. it does go in many directions. thanks for listening though

Drums/aux percussion feel a bit too "roomy". Bass could use a lot more low end.

Lead vocals and overall darkness of the tunes reminds me of Three Days Grace. Guitar/guitar riffs remind me of RHCP.

I can hear plenty of kick in THE MINER, easily as much as (if not more than) the snare. My personal taste would be to have a slightly drier drum sound, but it works fine as is.

haha that would make sense.. Frusciante is my hero.. Thanks for the input. Ive been told that about the drum sound by another person so maybe it's time to take note

Yes the lyrics are serious, which is good. Someone mentioned 3 days grace, who can be a tad cheesy with their sound, but are good at serious and straight forward.
