Straightforward question. Asking about the latest version. I know it does 96/192, but I've found other programs that do 96 and don't have the 88.2 option.

Here's what the Help File Says:
You may enter any sample rate directly, or choose a common sample rate from the list. Note that most sound cards support only certain sample rates. Certain combinations of sample rate, channels, and resolution may not be available on your system. To see the capabilities of your system, check Options > Device Properties. Although you can create and edit any sample type with Cool Edit Pro, your sound card may not be capable of playing it properly.

Biggus Dickus is a character mentioned in Monty Python's The Life of Brian, I think. Michael Palin plays the Roman governor, and at one point he mentions his friend, someone called Biggus Dickus, then checks carefully to see if anyone sniggers. I think Biggus' wife was called something like Incontinentia Bottom.

Why do you want to use a 88.2 kHz sample anyway?
As far as 'Life Of Brian' is concerned, and respect to all women, every woman I have come across don't really understand the movie (including my wife, she falls asleep watching it).

I record at 44.1 KHz, but if my soundcard could handle 88.1, I'd record at the higher resolution, because higher resolutions give you a smoother sound. Draws bigtime on your computer resources, though.

I record at 44.1KHz mainly because that it can be burnt on CD and be playable on any CD Player.
Do normal CD players actually accept 88.kHz ?
