Ok, I bought a book 2day PT4Noobs :) - is there free demo s/w...

I can download to just 'play with" the interface as I read along with the book without having the hardware? or do you have to have the hardware for the software to even "run" ???

I bought this book today called:

"Pro Tools LE& Ignite! 2nd Edition The Visual Guide For New Users"

I figured It cant hurt being ahead of the curve starting to read about the program, learning how to do the basic stuff so when I get a brand new daw and PT7 I'll be set.

You need the hardware attached in order to open the software.

Ok. I figured that, but it's not gonna hurt to start reading anyway. I like to stay ahead of the curve.

PS, I even downloaded the pdf manual
