Oh Crap!

I installed the CEP 2.1 update about a month ago over my 2.0 cd installation. Now its telling me my trial time is up, and I can't save or burn cds.

Do I have to just uninstall and reinstall 2.0 from my cd and lose the benefits of 2.1?

Re-run your register file and enter your ID and unlock code.

Did you pay for the upgrade?

They should've given you a reg key for it...

If not, uninstall, then re-install.

The upgrade from 2.0 to 2.1 is free

I just uninstalled the whole app, then installed 2.0 from the cd. Then I downloaded the 2.1 upgrade, and I asked syntrillium for a new regcode. The sent me a new serial number (now I have to remember that one too!) and the winzip file with the cep21reg.exe file in it

When I installed 2.1 it just installed over 2.0 and didn't ask for a regCode. I havent had it fail yet.

I didnt have that problem either.
I downloaded the 2.1 on my internet computer and then burned
a copy of it to install on my recording computer.

Scott: Mine sure did, though I have no idea why. Did you download 2.0 or get if from a cd?

I'm sure you've been using it just fine, but I'd recommend to anyone to double check that you;re not using a trial version before you lose your session!
