Was wondering if anyone out there knows if you can record just the audio on a DVD on your computer? How can it be done?

Thanks!

There are a few audio ripping applications... How well they work is questionable to a point.

You can always hook a DVD player's audio outputs up to your recording system...

M Master, if you may please name those ripping softwares; I have been trying to do those move too. I know that CEP can rip the audio part of a vcd but dvd, 'am lost.

Thanks

I've used DVD Audio Extractor. It works just fine. It allows you to extract either a stereo or 5.1 surround mix. Haven't had any complaints. When you open a DVD with it, it shows you all the chapters, and has audio preview function.

You can download it for free from www.download.com
