It was so much fun, let's do it again...

My college choir, the Madonna U. Chorale, will be performing at the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception (by Catholic U.) Saturday 5/10 at 2:45 pm, and at the Episcopal National Cathedral Sunday 5/11 at 3:15 pm. Admission for each concert is free. Sunday's concert will be followed by an Evening Prayer service, and then an organ concert by Dr. David Wagner, our director.

Here's the choir's songlist:

Kyrie, Missa Aeterna Mundi - Palestrina
Gloria, Missa Aeterna Mundi - Palestrina
Song for Athene - Tavener
Ave Maria - Biebl
Miserere - Allegri
Alleluia - Thompson
Laudate Dominum - Goemanne

The program's about 35 minutes. If you make it, be sure to say hi - I'm the tall guy with the mustache and ponytail.

Shame I won't be able to make it......Mayfest out here in Strasburg, VA. Lots of local musicians, etc.
Enjoy D.C., just remember to duck if you hear any loud pops! If you get a chance to come to the mountains....1 hour west on I66....music starts at about 4:00pm. Just roll the window down when you come into town...you'll find it.

I remember Strasburg! We used to live in Manassas and Gerrardstown (WV).

Is that Saturday or Sunday? We'll have free time on Saturday, but not Sunday.

off to DC

Now I finally understand what the term DC offset means

Daf,
If you get a chance to go on Saturday, that's when the good music is scheduled.....I'm not really sure about Sunday anyway. Maybe we'll carry signs with HOMEREC.COM or something so we will recognize each other.

I've been told there's going to be an open mic type jam session at the Hungry Dog Cafe, but I haven't been able to confirm it yet.

So, Buck,

I ask you this question when I shoulda known I had no way to retrieve your answer...

Anyhow, we stayed in Alexandria, and spent all our time there and at the concerts. Oh yeah, and dinner in Springfield. Concerts went well, and we saw a few friends, internet and otherwise.

Sorry we missed the Strasburg thing. How was it?

A little wet! I just didn't bother going. Oh well, next time you're coming to town...let me know!
