Octava Mc-012s take a lickin', keep on tickin'!!

I was recording a live church gig last weekend and they had a baby grand piano. I got out my Octavas and set up 2 of them to record this great instrument. The top was down and I had asked them to raise it. Right after I set the mics up, the top on this beast comes crashing down, right on top of my microphones! I was sure they were toast. We pryed the top off, and I checked the mics and they both worked fine! Couldn't believe it. Recorded the whole thing and it sounded great! Just thought I'd pass that on.........

For the most part, they're a poor substitute for a hammer. But it's nice to know they'll take some abuse. I know I like mine.
