Hi bro, is there any difference between Nuendo (2.2) and Cubase (SX 2, VST5 etc...) ?
I can afford anyone but don't know which one should I buy?
I've used Sonar 3 but now I want something more "pro".
Thanks a lot !!!

I have heard Nuendo, just has more souround mixing stuff and is better for working on movies and stuff...pretty much Cubase with extra bit for doing movie production...

I am yet to find out if it all runs and works the same way as Cubase...i think so

If you just into Sterio Music than Cubase will sort you right out, if you think you might go on to use it for advanced things then Nuendo is meant to be the daddy.

Hey,

Does anyone know if Nuendo and Cubase use the same algo to mix down the audio?

Thanks,

Please click one of the Quick Reply icons in the posts above to activate Quick Reply.m fairly certain SX and Nuendo use the same engine, so the should use thr same aldo to mix down (i think i read somewhere that SX2 had much improved algorythms)

This is correct from what I've heard. They should garner the same results for standard two-track mixdown.

What I heard was that Cubase SX 2 what build out of Nuendo, not out of Cubase SX 1 (hence, the resemblence in the programs). Now, the only diffence I belief are present between SX 2 and Nuendo is that Nuendo has better import and export features (many surroundmixing options, 192kHz samplingfrequencys etc.) and better video support. I think almost the entire program is the same, as far as internal operation concerns.
