Nuendo audio problem pls help

Whenever I minimize nuendo, or open reason or any other other prog window, nuendo stops playing. Then when i open it back it continues playing from where it initially started.

This is very annoying when trying to work with reason. I have to go work blindly in reason, then go back in nuendo to hear the results, then go back in reason etc.

Same way i cannot hear reason, unless i am in nuendo, since their connected through rewire..

Any ideas on what might be causing this??

just a guess.. but check to see if you've got "release drivers in the background" ticked... i think it needs to be...
