NT2 / AT4033

I gonna get a sh!tload of money soon, and I gonna spend most of it on homerecorder-pr0n...

What I'm wondering now is if anyone has done a shoot-out with the NT2 and the AT4033. I'm not wondering which is "the best", but how they differ from eachother..

P.S. Earlier today i found out about a store in Sweden which has the RNC in stock.... sells for about 300$, I think I'll have one (or two).. :-)
 
I have not tried the NT2. but i own an AT4033, me and probably most other people on this forum would recommend the AT4033 over the NT2. But it what you like that counts. The AT4033 is awesome for the price.
 
In my A/B tests of those mikes, I felt as though the AT4033 was much more accurate, and probably more widely useable. The NT2 had a boosted high end that may add a desireable cripness to vocals, but makes instruments sound very unnatural. How you are going to use the mike is probably a big deciding factor.

What do you mean the store has an RNC in stock for $300? You mean the compressor? Why not get it direct for $200? Or is that in Kronor?

Well... I don't think it will be cheaper for me to order it from the US...

Maybe I'll just go to the US in Februari and shop so much that I save money in the end compared to buying the stuff in Sweden...
