I'm down to 1.3 KB/sec with stuff I try to download from Nowhere. What's that about?

Never seen it that slow, 30kbps is common, 50 average, 80+ exceptional...

i have 1.5 cable modem and i get around 75 to 85 usually. when i had dial up wright around 2 k was normal. man i dont mess dial up at all lol.

Slow is right. 9K per sec on DSL trying to download Dobro's tune.

I've had no problem downloading stuff from Nowhere recently except for tonight - really slow on a bsabbath tune, and then it just froze.
You know, I'm thinking this might be the price of success. It seems like every mp3 link I click on in this forum takes me to Nowhere. Is it the traffic there that's slowing things down periodically?
Waldo - if you got the traffic, you got the wherewithal to procure more or better servers, no? Aw c'mon... doesn't anybody here want to move to Calgary? The man needs a business manager. Calgary's cool. I've been there 33 times. You can visit Slack in the summer too.

dobro, there is no bandwidth issues on this end of the pipe, as you can see above, many people don't have issues at all.
Chances are, that somewhere along your routing table there is a server with an issue. Send me a tracert and I'll see what I can do for you.
You have to remember that between you and NWR there is a variable number of servers, including your ISP's servers, and their providers servers, etc, and any one of which could be acting up. The majority of which I have absolutely no control over.

The NWRP2P download application will be completed (hopefully) in the next few weeks as I find more time.
You'll be able to run 'accelerated' downloads through it, and act as a 'repeater' for files that you have downloaded, thus sharing the bandwidth load, and speeding things up for everybody.
There is many other features planned, such as DRM and a PPD structure, but I will release more information on that as time goes on.
I'm currently working 3 contracts to make enough cash to support myself, and NWR, so I'm not going to be able to move as fast as I used to.
