They make it sound like they are really scarce... :)

Now, that Tascam, THAT's what I'd like. But alas, no money, and besides, it's in the US.

No you are right, of course. I widthdraw my objection, give the money to me.

Anyone notice all these old great consoles have been dropping in price.

Dealers are having a hard time selling these older boards today.

the tascam is nice and all. But I think I'll drop almost a quarter million on a board from some guy with no feedback rating. I mean it recorded the ROLLING STONES!!! If I buy it all my stuff will sound like them, right? And Queen! I hope it has the multi-part harmony button is a good place!

........and don't forget it funked the house with the Average White band!

:) If any of you get a chance to run an 8048, go for it. You will be spoiled for life!!

It's cuz all these idiots think digital is the way to go.

Say what you like, but that is the kind of board that can truely make your life easier. You plug in the mic, and it just sounds GOOD. There is a very good reason why so many people copy the mic pres from that very console.

I would buy it, but I am a bit short (like 230,000 short).

No Jake, the guy who owns it is a phat cat. If the Tascam is a step up from a Mackie (depends on the Mackie), that Neve monster is one giant leap for mankind. 2 problems- if I sell my house to buy it, where will I keep it? And- If I keep the house
and buy it with my lottery winnings, where will I keep it? (it won't fit in my studio)-Richie

Richie- You can keep it in my studio. It'll fit (cause I don't have much else in there.) Heck, I'll do it for free.:D
