i don't know why...

it worked fine but suddenly one day my cubase didn't wanted to receive any sound heh

I connect my firestation to my pc and it seems like my computer is receiving the signal but cubase can't get any signals..

I'm a total new b so any help would be appreciated =)

thanks!

do you have the mlan patchbay set up right?

are you getting 'green lights' for both input and output in the mlan control panel?

are all of your vst inputs active?

yes, i get all the signals.. weird eh?

and i only have e 1 and 2nd input on for VST...

Check you have the small monitor buttons on the track highlighted otherwise you will only hear audio which is playing back.

In the device setup page make sure cubase is using the firestation driver, preferably ASIO.

In the device menu select inputs and check the correct ones are turned on.

Does audio actually play back in cubase ie when you import a file from your hard drive??

OMG!
I too am I cubase wh0re and I know I would not make a good spokes model :bleh:

geesh.. the issues I have had with the system is limitless...

I have the new SX version but afraid to attmpt it..
it's on my list of headaches to take on..

sorry!!! i was away for school for awhile.... mad classes.. heh

hey keith,

thanks so much for the info.. it seems to be working fine now.... i don't know.. it randomly happened....

one question though is, when i'm doing, i hear this random staticy 'click's and it's embedded on the recording... like you said, if i don't highlight the monitor button i don't realize of this 'click' when i'm recording, but as soon as i'm playing back my recording i'll hear that click. I just tried not having any thing playing back or recording, nothing hooked up to the firestation and highlighted the monitor button and listened and i still hear this 'click' (not frequent though as appose to when recording)

any thoughts?

PS. Not Metronome clicks... LoL

thanks!!

Possibly a digital sync problem. Is the Firestation and Cubase both set to the same digital frequency and sample rate. Failng that try to adjust the latency and audio buffers in the device set up VST multi tracking page.

Keep me posted.

Been there...

I've experienced similar clicks and pops when recording (using Firestation, Cubase SL, PC running XP) and was able to get better results by tweaking the buffer settings. What are the settings in the Firestation Control panel and the Cubase control panel?

I dont know much about the firestation but i would suggest that you should be using thwe ASIO 2.0 drivers in the cubase control panel (device setup, vst multi track). If you are experiencing clicks then increase the buffer sizes and the latency. You have to find the right balance between workable latency for inputing midi etc and quality audio output.
