interesting topic
i feel the need to advocate the point of view of these "lunies"
we can't really get mad at them because they don't understand,
they lack the drive that took us to this forum
after years of "we could have done this if ..."
i set guidelines for collaboration : They are none
if it happens it happens (we can be arrogant cause we can also rhyme)
if you meet a cat that tells you he's a freestyle mc he won't show up for the session
if he doesn't write you know his goals are being processed not set
For most of us we wanted to make beat (got tired of looking for instrumentals without hooks)
so we went and bought equipment (devotion) and that's the thing THEY can't understand until they purchase a digital recorder or plain ol' recorder to capture some of those freestyles ride on the highway - so we can't really be mad at them
now when a fellow beat crafters doesn't keep his/her appointment his or her gets the samourai sword
as producers(assumingly) we have this responsibility towards ourselves to see the project accomplished that's why we must put up with the lyricists and the lunies
