OK guys..........I think you could tell my last version was so so (a half assed attemp lol)

so tonight I re-recorded the whole song.
Guitars were all mic'd
no autotune on lead vocals.

better or worse? any new mix issues.

Guitars sound about a thousand times better.

But...the vocals...they are pitchy (I guess that's why you use autotune, haha)...but I think you just need to "let go"...it just seems like your trying to contain your voice to much....just let it go and belt it out.

lol yeah,
not really comfortable singing yet.........let alone letting it all out. I live in a duplex so I try to keep quite and not piss off my landlord haha. You are right though I need to just do it and stop messing around.

atleast the guitars sound better though

Haha...I know the feeling man...(used to have the same setup; now my "studio" room is completley seperate from my neighbors)....

Just let it out man...as long as you don't do it at 2am your landlord is just going to have to deal with it.

Well, listened to all versions as I scrolled through this thread. Very interesting progression of this tune. I shouldn't even review it after Mystery did....he gave you the what for...

Anyway, killer tune. I liked certain aspects of all of them. You have a good voice, just use it, Autotune or not. Do they have a "reallybadvoiceotune" for me? (JK). Version 4 is my fav, as it sounds the most "live". I picture one of those videos with a few dudes in a burned out studio, drinking beer, and recording this song. Very cool feel. Can't add much more, just keep it up, as I enjoy the music.....

Best yet! I don't think you need Autotune at all. Not that the pitch is perfect -- just that I don't think it needs to be perfect.
