So I have read up on tons of tricks recording acoustic guitar (close mic on 12th fret, far away one, etc.). I have never actually recorded acoustic guitar, and when I get my guy in to work on my album, I really won't have time to fiddle around much, so here's my question.
So I have four microphones that I think would be good for acoustic recording, they are:
2x RODE NT2a
1x Naiant XT
1x Cascade Fat Head II w/ Lundhaul Transformer
I am thinking having the Naiant close on the 12th fret with maybe the Fat head further away to capture the whole sound. Any other ideas?
