not a RECORDING question-a MICROSOFT FAX question

I've been trying to get microsoft fax up and running and I keep getting an internal mapi error!!There is meant to be a fax and mail icon in control panel(according to insructions) but there ain't none of that:( I have outlook express which is meant to work with microsoft fax...I told my wife that everyone at home recording could work out any problem,so our reputation is on the line;)
 
What version of windows are you using? Is microsoft faxed installed? If not go add/remove programs in the controlpanel. Go to windows setup (may be called add remove windows components). Look for microsoft fax and check the checkbox if the checkbox's not checked :D Now you should se the fax in the control panel.
