Hehe....

Unless we put a "I saw mama $^%&-ing Santa Claus" twist to it. I think this song is about cheating, but it could be about jerking off...I have no idea. I don't cheat on my girlfriend, but I still jerk-off, so that's probably it. :D

I wrote this in a higher key for my voice than usual. I wanted to start challenging myself, vocally a little bit. So, some lines might have to be re-done. I'm not sure if it sounds like I'm straining, or if I just sort of hear what I "felt" while I was recording.

Anyway, any help, advice, and criticism is always appreciated, as usual.

Thanx, and Merry Christmas, or whatever else you might celebrate. :)

Nice one Rami :) it sounds like it's about cheating AND jerking off lol.

i was a bit weirded out by the intro at first, but when i got it it sounded really good and the second, (and third and fourth) time i listened to it i really liked it. i did not like the repeat of the intro in the middle of the song. i think you should have come back in afer 2:19 with full volume and punched it. (but this is artistic style and your opinion matters more than mine since you're the artist)

on the vocals, i think they need to be a bit louder and in one or two places i can hear a bit of strain.

this song has a lot of good groove in it. you've done really well :)

RAMI!

It´s not higher... it´s perfect tuned:cool:
Great groove, basic rock´n roll,but with a Morgenstein/Morse feel...killer.

Don´t know about mix advices, I am not listening with monitors, but
I like the song, great (as usual)!

Thanx alot, Nicole. :) I know what you mean about the intro, and coming back in to the intro a second time. This song sort of developped weirdly, and then I worte the lyrics quickly after. So, now I'm not sure if the intro suits the song. Maybe the arrangement should be more straight ahead rock....But I LIKE that intro, too.:D...So I can't decide. :( I'll have to let it sit for a while.

To be honest, it's the first time I'm even questioning the drumming on one of my tunes. It maybe also should have been more simple and straight ahead....I'm not sure about this tune, it might need some work.

Thanx alot for the advice.

Thanx alot, CIRO. Haven't seen you around...I hope everything's well for you in sunny Brazil, my friend.:)

Cool tune Rami

The vocals sound nice up in that higher register. I didn't hear any straining, I think it's well within your range.

There a part after the intro (2nd intro) where the guitar in the middle/right seems a tiny bit low as compared to the other guitar on the left. Doesn't necessarily have to come up, just something I noticed while listening....

Smoking hot tune - your guitar playing is as good as your drumming IMHO...:D

Merry Christmas !

Thanx alot, Ido.

I thought about everyone's suggestions and realized this tune didn't work the way I had it arranged. I just took about 50 seconds out of it, added another guitar in the second break, and kept the tune straight-ahead. I hope this is better.....

Thanx alot for the help, all of you.

Nice.

Love the tempo. I think the vocals are fine. This reminds me, in just the smallest way, of Steve Miller's Jungle Love. Not a rip off, maybe not even a subconscious nod. But it sounds great. In fact, I think you should do more bass sweeps at the end of phrases.

I dig on this groove. Good balls out rock song.

Take it eeeeeeaaaaassssyyyyyy.

The higher register WORKS.
More testicular tension in the rhythm section than a turkey slap in the antarctic my man!
Good, good, good song, the bass runs are a) fun & b) well balanced.
What are you using for guitar distortion if that's not a personal question?
Rock'n!

another great tune rami. Sounds good, the drums are right on as always. It definatley a song everyone can relate too. My girl is always telling me to put it down and zip it up.

cool stuff!
I like the guitar sound and the hookline's great.... on the whole it could be a bit dirtier, say like Queens of the Stone Age, but hey, if that's your style....
like it, like it!

Hehe,,,I love your posts, man. They're very quotable.
For my guitar, I use a Strat into a Yamaha DG STOMP, into a Peavey Studio Pro which I bypass the head from and just use the cabinet to mic. That goes straight into my TASCAM 2488.

Thanx Coroner...Well will she ever learn that it just will never happen.:)

Thanx Joey. Yeah, it probably could be heavier overall. I wasn't really sure where I was going with this tune as I was doing it.
This is really effin' cool.
Thanx, man!

The drum intro reminds me of a Neil Peart groove. I think the vocals are great on this, particularly the backing vox. Nice riff too, I like the way it develops in the chorus. I'd like to hear the last verse/chorus heavied up with some power chords. It seems to end a bit suddenly, or maybe I didn't get it all?

Wow...nice one man....killer drum sound. Great bass tone also....love the sound of that. Great mix...seems I hear everything well, and the layout of the tune is cool....well done man....:D

You been listening to some James Brown or something? :) Cool tune!

Vox could be bigger, and kick could actually be a teeny bit smaller, and the master needs a little air at 6.3KHz...

In your upper regiseter, you sound a bit like Weird Al, and I mean that as a compliment... You should try a cover of one of his... like "Smells Like Nirvana"...

ballsy guitars in this. Good backup vocal in the chorus on "it ain't easy" at 1:05 and 1:53.

Finally, geez............

Love the song, Rambo. Fucking awesome raunchy sex rock vibe to it. Dare I even say....KISS-like! And thats awesome! Love the drumming man. Those ghost-notes or whatever they're called are fantastic. I wish I could do that shit. Love the guitars and bass.

I don't think they key is too high for you, but I think I can tell that it's a little out of your comfort zone. You pull it off really well, but in some spots it sounds like maybe your confidence level in that range isn't fully developed yet. If thats true, you're not alone. I know the feeling well. That's just a few spots though. Overall the vox rock and the harmonies are fantastic as usual.

Great song! :)
