Im a beginner at recording, ive been doin research and ive found that a Tascam Dp-02 is simple and at my price range.I heard that its not 2 good for pluggin the mic right into it. So can I use another mixer into that and if so which 1? My price range is up to 150 and ill be recording acoustic guitar and vocals.

first off i think your looking for a pre-amp. if all you are trying to record is an ac. guit and vox the dp-02 is all you really need, cept for a mic. there's a lot of budget pre amps out there. http://www.sweetwater.com/shop/studio/preamps/

IMO i think you'd be better off getting a pre amp in your price range then a cheap mixer. unless you need more than two inputs. but again id say a pre amp isn't totally necessary unless you really want it. why don't you spend that money on a better mic or two? im assuming by your post that you don't own any condenser mics or anything. do you?
