Your question is quite vague. Please tell us what you are recording and how you are planning on doing it. What style of music? Live instruments, midi, samples, or what?

You might also want to explore the cubase manual and/or several books that are out there about how to get the most out of the software. We can certainly help you with specific questions as you are going along, but without more info, it's very difficult to address your question.

Indeed! That's like asking : "how does one become an engineer?".

do u mean what order to record? lay down the drums to set the pace, put down the rest of the instruments so u got the feel then put down the voice....... how does one become an engineer?

how to get the music started? haha i dunno why that made me laugh, what do u mean?

I suppose you could try to push start it. If it's stalled you could try getting a jump start. It boggles my mind that someone could just jump into a project, spending money on software that they have no clue about and expect to start making music. If you go take a $200.00 night course on digital recording you could probably get a student copy of whatever software you like for a good price. Not only that but by taking a course, the software would actually have some use for you. Otherwise you're just proclaiming that you're a pirate.
