I need pristine cleans, warm sustained soulful blues, soaring Paul Reed Smith leads, and pure evil warm but dark crunch. All on one album with one amp.
Here's the catch. I don't know if I can try either of these amps. Can't seem to find any in my area, so that leaves me to read about 1,000,000 internet opinions, all about as subjective as the definition of the word allows.
So, since I may have to try and bid for one on Ebay, and sell it if I don't like it, what are the functional and tonal differences between the Mark IV and the Nomad 55 (or 100 if that is your experience)?
Also, please keep the conversation limited to these two amps. Or if you must throw in another mesa model, go ahead. Just don't say Rectifier. I don't need it. I need aggressive at times, but not 7000 watts of it.
Have fun. No live ammo please. Thanks!
Tom
