No problem, but you should look into a better way of turning your signal down
more so that it's not a problem anymore
 
I'm not too familiar on the pickup front of things, although some others here
are.

However if you have an FX pedal for your guitar or something like that, you
could plug into the pedal, turn the volume down very low there, and then plug
from the pedal into your interface. Does your interface even have a gain pot?
I tried looking for pics of it but I didn't see any gain pot.
