I used to use Cakewalk Gold and had no problem sending/receiving MIDI messages to the QS8. I got a new computer and installed Cakewalk Home Studio 2004 and Midisport Uno. I see MIDI messages being sent on the Cakewalk in/out icon as well as on the M-sport, but I can't get any sound out of the QS8. (And the QS window doesn't show evidence of incoming messages). I rechecked the global settings: Keyboard normal, general MIDI off, and I/O MIDI. Cakewalk settings are MIDI Devices: IN and OUT USB MIDI 1x1 and the QS8 is assigned as the instrument. I'm not a computer genius by any stretch, but what am I missing here? Thanks for any help.
