No Sound On CEP 1.2

Greetings - After an upgrade to Windows XP, I do have a few new teething problems .. one of which is that although my audio [as in Winamp. media Player, Roxio etc] is all working OK, CEP 1.2 is not. I load the WAV/MP3 file but when I hit the space bar and the cursor line starts moving .. there's no sound ..... (?) Could someone please assist .. ?

Have you set up things right in Options>Device Preferences>Playback Device/Recording Device?

Have you set up things right in Options>Settings>Devices>Waveform Playback/Waveform Record?

Have you set up your soundcard right?

Oh Yes !! From the depths of my ignorance and stupidity .. I did NOT
check the Settings>devices etc .. and my SB Live! was in fact NOT
selected .. All working fine now .. MANY thanks for this ..
