No Sound from BR1100cd

Thank you for responding to this: I have a BR 1180CD, new...and after recording a song (guitar and vocal), there was no sound while playing. The troubleshooting guide was no help...any suggestions?

Are you sure that you had the tracks armed (ready to record), are your faders pushed up?

Yes. I armed it and faders were ready...I followed all directions.
Are my speakers a factor(Altec)?

Are your speaker powered (off/on switch, volume control)?
