No record level: E-MU0404

I´m a beginner! I have installed E-MU 0404 (windows XP pro). Mostly is OK. But when I tried to use Microsoft Movie maker and tried to capture i videosequence, the "record level" is grey and not activated.
In the control panel/ Sound/Volyme/set the level for input(recording)- wave is also grey.

Please help!

You have to set up a windows channel in patchmix to use Movie maker...

I'm not at my computer right now so I don't have detailed instructions on how to do so.
