Bring back the Tele for the POD!!!
I the trippy quality of the song. It really is a nice relaxed, drive down the highway type of tune.
But the rythem guitars! Waaaaaaaaaaaaay too much low end!!! By a long shot. At the expense of the whole mix.
The more I hear the POD, the more I dislike it. I really don't hear the "real life" guitar tones everyone raves about with them. Every one I have heard has had the same mushy low end sound, with a sort of non detailed top end that ONLY a tube amp set up right can give.
Ditch the POD reverb. The delay effect added a cool texture, but you need possibly a nice Hall reverb instead of the cheap sounding Spring reverb provided on the POD. I would probably use a bit less reverb no matter what to give the delay a bit more definition.
Emeric. The guitars on your submission for the comp CD sounded in a whole other league then this songs guitar tones do. Keep with the winners!

Bring back the Tele and whatever amp you were using before.
Again, like you comp CD entry, I didn't really hear any bass guitar either.
Real drummer will be nice....

You kept the beat quite well, but it obviously lacks what your drummer brings to a song (he seems to be quite competent!

)
Vocals work well for your voice. Maybe try adding a little chorus and possibly, just maybe, play with a aural exciter. I think you have that type of voice that would really shine with that combo.
