Does anyone know anything about the builtin metronome in sonar 3, it seemed like ti was working with the counting off before the recording started but i couldn't hear it while i was recording or playback and, both the options were enabled and it was supposed to come out of the speakers, or thats what the software said anyway, looked through help on the software and in the book, can't seem to find out why it doesn't work. any help is good help!
thanks

The metronome built in sonar 3 uses the "pc speaker" inside your computer which is very, but very silent. on my computer i can barely hear it. Instead I use the midi note sent to my synth. You can also use a dxi, by creating a loop of quarter notes then record.

There has been around a gazillion posts on the Sonar metronome. You might want to try a search.

Note to any interested:

Sonar 4 has a built in audio metronome that works great.

Sonar 3 does have a metronome that works, although it could be easier to set up.

You can change the sound from coming from the PC speaker to being sounded through the system's monitor speakers.

You can also switch the metronome so that it sounds during recording/playback. There is a metronome option pane that you you have to find in order to select the options.

Good luck.
