No input sound. Help!

Hi -
My multitrack program (CEP) works fine. When I hook up external devices (amp, mics, mixer) thogh, all a sudden I see the sound on meters, but don't hear it! I hear the tracks that are there already...
I use the Audiophile 2496 sound card.
Never had a problem before...

Make sure that CE recognizes your input playback device. What is connected to your out's on you soundcard?

Delta 2496...
Is there a setting for " input playback"? I couldn't find that...
I got it working in Vegas. Not CEP though...
