Listening to Upon The Moss...awesome. Is that a slide guitar? Kind of sounds like a pitch knob being tweaked. Some really cool ideas in there...I like the odd-rhythm guitar that comes in at 2.02...tons of reverb. This is the good shite!
Night Falls- Aw man, the copious distortion's gone!, Seems like you're getting better captures all around here. Great textures with the wah and delay!
Sparrows- Nice. Some double tracked guitar even. You seem to have a really heavily reverbed vocal sound on a lot of this early stuff of yours...it's interesting to hear, as I think most of the recentish stuff of yours I've heard on here goes for this distinctive crisp crackling sound I've actually wanted to emulate at times.

Sorry man, been away camping in the Lakes over the last week. Glad they fulfilled the remit. On On The Moss, I think I had an open tuning and used a slide while strumming all the strings. Guess it did give it a tuning knob kind of feel - what the tuning was is long forgotten though!
I still love reverb, but I guess it was a bit of a crutch early on to hide vocal insecurities. It was also from running the mic through a guitar effects unit - I'm not sure I've managed to find a reverb sound I like as much from vsts.
I think I had designs on turning Night Falls... into something proper, but never got round to it. I found another tune I did with some friends - if I get chance, I'll transfer it to PC.

Miriam's House is cool - the bleeps & bass really do place it in time but there's nothing wrong with that. It'd be a good song regardless - and could easily be rerecorded in a different genre - it'll always be creepy good.
This thread has certainly revealed a trove of hidden gems. I'm very impressed with the onsg writing as well as the achievements with , what now seems, limited technology.
