Does turning the click track on do nothing (or do you even know how to turn it on)?

Sorry, we are not working with a lot of information here. If you can hear playback through your saffire once you have recorded something then it's cubase and not the saffire.

Go to VST Connections>Outputs, verify that Click is selected next to your interface channels.

I'm in the process of trying to alter the BPMs on Cubase 5. It certainly does have a click track and in fact, you can manually set all different tempos like 15/8 and weird timings like that. The actual click sound is horrible though. On the transport bar, just press the play button. But it should tell you on there whether the click is on or not.

Oh yeah, you gotta create a midi track with anything other than that Cubase click. The work of the devil that sound is! -And not the cute cartoon devil, but the evil fire/torture one that makes you listen to the most annoyingly incessant sound ever created. Man I can't stand that sound!

Yeah I always use midi for the click, if you ever move up from LE you can turn off the beeper click track and opt for any VSTi to play one instead (you can have cubase's click function route through a VSTi, no need for an instrument or midi track just load one up in the VSTi rack).

You can do it in LE but it requires an instrument track (unless they fixed it in LE 5).

Nice! I never thought to try it that way. No VSTi rack in LE 5 either.
