No audio on Right channel, Help!

I have always ( 2 years) recorded on the left channel (mono) of the sound card. I just recently decided to record on the right, and here's the problem;

I can't hear the output of the right channel, when I select 'right channel'. I tried recording (blind) to it, and it appears to record ok, because I can view the recorded waveform! However, I do not hear the playback audio.

The left channel have always worked fine, and I can pan audio left/right.

The card is a DMAN (M-Audio thingy) and the software Cakewalk (GS2).

Any ideas?

Perhaps your software mixer is not set to play back stereo files ???
