does anyone know what kick drum and mic were used on nirvana's nevermind album? that kick sound is the bomb!

that album was recorded on tape. i guess it could be midi but cmon.

here's a good read detailing the recording process of nevermind. andy wallace did infact blend kick and snare samples in the mix. if you listen to the butch vig mixes on the box set, you can hear the difference between the two.
