Hi,
Im brand new to recording anything, so i have a few questions. Ive been using acoustic solutions multi track recorder on my laptop (because it was the cheapest thing i could find) so far its been ok but my only dig is that when playing alot of open chords and strumming for more than a few seconds the recording volume seems to decreases gradually before levelling out If I pause then continue the volume returns to to the original level.
Can anyone tell me why this is happening please!
Ive been looking round the web for an answer for ages but cant find one though i have heard alot about this impedance twaddle but havent got a clue what it means. ive been micing my guitar amp using is a cheapish mic with a xlr to 1/4" jack lead pluged into another amp which has a lead coming out of the headphone socket with a mini jack on the other end which plugs into the mic socket on my laptop.
Also does anyone have an idea of how i can get maximum improvement in quality with minimal expenditure/ whats the one thing i should be investing in before anything else?
Cheers
