lovely. I wish I had a nylon string guitar now. (or are you a purust who uses gut?)

Sorry for the late arrival. If only there were an hour or two more per day. . .

Anyway, that was beautiful. If that is a student, I don't want to think about what that might make me.

I tried to listen closely for an eq issue. It doesn't sound like there are any frequency peaks that are disproportionately accentuated that need attention. If anything at all, you could try cutting a few db's at the very highest frequencies (around 20-21K) to see if that does anything with the 'hiss' and 'breathing'.

Thanks for posting this.

Hey… been away for a couple days and came back to see that Paul’s got more listens and comments… great!

[Yes that was very beautiful… He sounds great.
Thanks for the kind words famous beagle.

[I think those inexpensive ones are for me.
I’ve played a bunch of fairly inexpensive guitars by Saez and Burguet that I liked, in fact they were pretty amazing for the price… they had solid soundboards - the cedar tops were generally better than the spruce. I think the Saez were in the $300-600 range, and the Burguet in the $600-3K range but I could be off there. Their cosmetic quality control was inconsistent though and there was a lot of variation within each model in the quality of the soundboards. I’ve also played some Takamine and Yamaha solid top classicals that were very good sounding in the $400+ range. Good luck with finding a classical you like.

[Short, but beautiful. I wanted to hear more. I enjoyed the two guitars complimenting one another.
Thanks True. Yeah, those Sagreras studies are pretty short, but there are hundreds of them… Most of them aren’t quite that short though. Even thought they’re written as solos I like doing them as duets… the latin harmonies and rhythms are fun to improvise over and it’s a good way to talk about scales, theory, harmony, etc in a fun way in lessons.

Thanks for listening diary giant. Well, I’ve tried gut strings a couple times and all I can say is that I’m glad I didn’t live back before nylon was invented…

Thanks Incanus… I think your suggestion about using a little shelving on the high end is a good one. It’d just take the edge off it a little. I also noticed an occasional low end thumping - maybe a heel on the floor - that I might filter out. Thanks for listening buddy.
