the bass makes a big difference :) . I still hear a harmony wanting to come in.
Do it in the mix with a track clone, pitch and chorus and an envelope.
I havent tried that yet but I may in the future since I have NO range and I really like harmonies.

Your wife was showing you her "blog" :)

Whats a blog?

SO SHE DID mix it for you since shes the computer expert, just kidding :D

Peace

Personally I don't hear the harmony... I'm thinking about re-recording the vocals... still up in the air atm..

Blog... all you have to do is to check out http://www.blogger.com . What it is, it's like a diary where you can write whatever you want to write... it's basically an online diary for everyone to read..

She does know a little about computer, however in the household it is me who has the knowledge

WOW.... John I wasn't expecting a response from you in this thread... I'm very honoured (truely).

Have you had a chance to listen to my song? It's only tracking at this stage...
It is here

I must admit I was listening to Troy Cassar-Daley's 'Beyond The Dancing' for inspiration, more specifically 'Dream Out Loud' for the drums.. I don't play drums, just program them at this stage.

Thanks again for your response,

Porter

*edited* PS. John, Do you remember Dick Heming? I work with his daughter.

Hey Porter,

Just checked out your song. It's kinda country I guess. I would get to work on some nice harmonies to really give it a lift in the chorus's. Overall mix sounded ok although only listening on LO Fi stream. I quite liked it anyway. Good effort.

Jon.

*WOW*
This is great ballad, Porter :) So simple but nice :) I'm listening in the office using small earphone, so I can't say anything about the quality, but the song itself is really great ;)

Hmm vox harmonies is mandatory :D and better drum kit I guess :p Keep it up, brutha'... :)

Why does everyone want harmonies??... sometimes I think they can be too overated... ;) But I'll give it a shot just because everyone says to...

Drums are simple... I wanted it to sound like a simple kit... it kick/snare/hi-hat... nothing more.

Porter

BTW,

Thanks for the listen ;)

It will be great Porter. I can hear the song thirsting for it!
sometimes an objective opinion hears lots the the writer artist doesn't

Peace

Hey, very lovely song Porter :) I think background vocals at some part is a good idea :) and why you are so shy singing it :o You must express it more free I feel :)
