Hello, my fellow Engineers and Musicans,

Thanks in advance for your time, insight, information, recommendations, advice and counsel.

I am considering upgrading my mulitrack studio to Include a Power Mac Computer.

What additional features and benefits if any, are available on the "NEW" just released Power Macs ?

Is the "NEW"... 1GHz, 256MB, 60GB, DVD/CD-RW Power Mac G4 really better ?

than the old.... 867GHz ,256MB, 60GB, DVD/CD-RW Power Mac G4 ?

I am being challenged in understanding why the price is $1500 for both the old and the new.

Thanks again my fellow Musicians for your time and energy, I will await your opinions. Have a Great Day

Sincerly,

Keyboard Guru

If you're asking if {single CPU} 1Ghz is better than {single CPU} 867Mhz, then obviously 1Ghz is better. Also, according to Apple (which who knows if this is actually true) the new 1Ghz is quieter.
