Hey folks,

I'm hoping someone can help us with our little problem.

We currently have this setup

Bose 802e System Controller
Studiomaster Diamond 8-2
Peavey PV - 8.5c
and a Boss BR-8

We're running the Diamond into the BR trying to get some sweet jams recorded, but when we run our instruments through the mixer there is a severe amount of clipping. We have checked our levels and it would appear as everything is in check. Can anyone offer up some suggestions?

So, your recording with good levels (Below 0dB) and when playing back the recording its clipping?

Your not normalising the audio before playing back or anything?

1.what's clipping, the boss or the mixer?

2. how are you setting levels for each component?

3. on the mixer, is each player doing a sound check individually and each channel gets set as hot as possible for that individual player?

4. can you see the boss or the mixer clipping while you're playing? or is the boss clipping upon playback?

5. adding eq after tracking and/or level-setting?

give some more specific info, i think there is an easy answer to all of these potential problems.

can't swear i am remembering correctly but isn't that a powered mixer??? and BTW what in the hell are you using that bose controller for????
