cool.

It seems you've got your head screwed on.... now the only thing i would consider is the parallel walls in your studio.

head over to
http://www.locall.aunz.com/~johnsay/

take a look at the link called "wall units" -- they are really good idea's for making absorbers for your room.

just an idea

Techy - So far so good man! As Rochey points out, your heading in the right direction.

Can you tell us more about what you want to do?

Can you make changes to the room ?

Do you have a budget ?

Can you do simple construction work (panels, diffusors etc...)?

Cheers
Kevin.

my "studio"

well.. i cant do any major construction cuz its my parents house
i work at a sunday school and they have some of those cubicle dividers i could prolly "borrow" hehe
my mom said i could put up some foam and bass traps ect..
we are moving in like 2 years so when we do i am gonna have the whole basement 2 my self so i will buid a control room and everything
my budget is about $50/month for recording gear.. the rest goes away for a car...(yipeeee)
i am planning on using the place mostly 2 record my band and shit.. but i am gonna record other bands 2 make some money

i cant make any huge changes 2 the room
any other suggestions would be very helpful
p.s. anyone looking 2 buy a mixer go with the behringr mx1604a its amazing

thanx all

Matt - I'd tend to get the mixing console out into the room by putting it where you have the people you record. Face the console across that corner, then put the people where you had your couch and TV. Your speakers will sound better with more space behind you ;)

cheers
