Is the software program Magix Cleaning Lab 3.0 worth learning? I want to record my old vinyl's then use software cleaning and effects before saving to CD's. Thank, reedr
 
Magix Cleaning Lab/cleaning/effects

Maybe I misspoke when I said I want to add effects to my cleaned recordings of old vinyl (some vinyl's are mono or high fidelity. I am cleaning for click and clipping and working to get a good quality sound before burning to cd. Magix does offer choices which they call Mastering Effects, i.e. brillance & other enhancements to the recorded audio wave. Is there a easier to use cleaning program which will give me good/better results or is Cleaning Lab 3.0 worthwhile to learn as the German to English translation is somewhat lacking? reedr
 
Dont know - never tried to dump vinyl to digital and i havent used any software specifically designed- i just remebered seing the thread that I link above for ya- theres alot of shareware out there to clean up digital audio- try searching the net- theres alot of shareware "hubs" around too- a fav around here seems to be www.hitsquad.com See if you can find somethin in German- if not try a few and pick one you like best
 
Thanks, I checked out the web page you suggested. I see that others have the same problems I have had with Magix Audio Cleaning Lab 3.0...so am looking for a good audio cleaning program without a lot of excess programming, i.e. MIDI, etc. reed
