Hey all!
Brand new to the forum and I've got a question about a home studio I'm hoping to put together in my basement! I want to do as much as I can to acoustically treat my basement space. Right now I'm working on the ceiling. The ceiling is insulated but not "finished," as you can see from the pics below. I'd like to finish the ceiling for sound and aesthetic reasons, as well as to keep the spiders at bay!
Here's the catch: I rent my home so I can't make any undoable changes.
Is the insulation that's up there sufficient for acoustic treatment purposes?
If so, any ideas on how to "finish" the ceiling?
I feel like if I just nail some boards up there it'll defeat the purpose of the insulation that's there?
Any suggestion will be greatly appreciated!
Thanks for reading,
Jason
