OK laugh,
I just bought a X-15, I know now that it is a dinosaur, but I am wondering if it will be good enough for what I wanted it for which is to record my drum sessions. I have been drumming for 15 years and I do not have any recordings of my solos or drumming for that matter. Is this piece of equipment ample for this ? Oh and I have a MN-50 mixer to go with it too. What other equipment will I need to add to record my drumming sessions ?
Thanks for any help !!

I think I understand what you are looking for. What I would do is invest in a compressor, and go to town with your setup. Get good drum mics, and play in a treated room if possible. You should get a clear enough recording this way.

wow, that was my first multitracker. I still have it, but the belt isn't right. Pretty sure you can only record on 2 tracks at a time. A lot of drum mic setups use many mics, but lots of fine drum recordings from earlier times used 1 or 2.
