My first trip to the board after months of lurking! Glad to finally be official. This is the greatest site for this type of stuff Thanks to all for hosting and participating in this.

Enough about you guys, now to me.

Real newbie here. I am using Music Creator 2003(did I mention I am also a cheapie!!) and I just downloaded the Rhythm Tracks from hitsquad. I need to download INS files and then define them in Cakewalk. I can't seem to find the Define Instrument Definition option that the instructions are talking about. Is this option not available in MC2003?

Appreciate any help you guys can give.

Never mind. After asking around I got my answer. MusicCreator 2003 does not have the ability to define Instruments. I need to upgrade to Home Studio for that functionality. At some point I will spend the bucks and upgrade to either that or Sonar.

Hope to speak with you all soon.

Doh!, I'm realy sorry, but it's rare to find Music Creator user on this board. Most of us used Sonar, Home studio or GT Pro (...and very few left using Cake PA 9). Not because Music Creator is bad, it's just the way it is on this board, so we can't help you that much.

ps. and welcome to the board !!! :)

Thanxs Jaymz.

I have only been recording for about 6 months and I started with MC because it was cheap and I knew the Cakewalk brand. I will be stepping up to Home Studio so that I can participate more fully in this forum.

Right now I am still twiddling and asking quesitions and experimenting. I can't wait to post my songs and get some feedback.

One Day......

Appreciate your help.
