If you want to sell the BG1 to me, Knopfler and Gilmour is the heaviest argument. Those two happen to be the guitarists who rank highest on my personal list. And when it comes to Knopfler our voices are very similar in range and sound (or lack thereof) which I why I would be very interested in knowing if he used the BG1 for vox. On the other hand I would not spend the money for an old Telefunken or an AKG C12, a Soundelux U195 will have to do. Anyone knows how that works with BG1?

It is phantom powered right? The DAV has a lot of gain and can even handle ribbon mics, which are really low sensitivity. Im not a salesman for DAV(though it seems like it) im just excited over their products and that I dont have to spend thousands more to get my customers satisfied. Mick can also customize the DAV to a certain extent with gain range, etc..call Mick up and tell him Teddy sent you. He is very helpful.
