I'm pretty sure it's a yes, but with the Aark24 rig, I can map each input/output channel to a specific track in CW Sonar, right? Also, is there any latency when using input monitoring through the card and Sonar? If so, how do you go about combatting it?

I own the Q10 and can do all the things you describe. I think the control panel software for the Q10 and 24/96 are pretty similar so it should work.

There will always be latency if you are listening to a sound that has passed through the 24/96 breakout box, through the PCI card, and back to the breakout box. That's why Aardvark allows you to do no latency monitoring where the sound you hear comes from the breakout box and has not been processed in any way by the PCI card or any inserted effects.

One final thought, before I bought my Q10 I called the Aardvark guys and chatted with them quite a bit. I had all sorts of questiions, a lot of them just like yours. They took a lot of time to explain things to me and were very patient. It was worth the long distance charge to get some peace of mind before I spent all that money.

Good luck!

Thanks for responding Phyl! :)

Can you configure the monitoring at all, like setup certain inputs to monitor through certain outputs?

Go to the following link and look about 3/4 of the way down the page. You will see a picture of the 24/96 software patch bay which allows you to patch any playback channel to any output.

Oops, now that I read your question again, I see this is not what your asking. You want to map front panel inputs to back panel outputs. Seems like you should be able to do this but I'm not sure..maybe give the Aard folks a call.
