Hello all,
after reading some of the post here I have downloaded the trial version of n-track and so far think it is the one I will go with, not really for the price but it is the first I have found that seems kinda user friendly. My first question is about the effects. I understand that in the trial version I can only put an effect on the first track, with this in mind and the fact I am an effect junkie. When I do register will I be able to put effects on midi tracks? It appears I can put chorus and reverb on in the "track screen: but then how can I control these effects?
My second question is on keyboard sounds or instruments, there appears to be lots of em, but i can only seem to get one set of them to work with my keyboard. will I be able to find more after I purchase the program?
I have only been playing with it for a day or two, and I could download the manuel but i was looking for the important answers that count to me before investing the time and money into the program only to find Iwont like it!
any suggestions would be helpful. also any suggestions about other programs I should look at. I am a not a novice to recording, but I am a novie to computer recording.
thanks, Keyboy1969

you can put as many effects as your computer can handle on any given track. i dont use midi, but even if you CANT put effects on those tracks - you could still just mix the midi down to a wav, and then apply effects.

i take it you are talkinga bout midi when you say "keyboard sounds/instruments." there are a lot of ways to get more sounds. the midi sounds come from your soundcard. with some soundcards you can use soundfonts too...never done it myself. but it's basicaly like sampling through midi i think...ha

I suggest you look for more plugins as far as effects go. It doesn't really come bundled with too many really good ones.

To answer your first question, you can't use the plugins on the midi tracks. As far as I know, they only work on wave files. I hope you enjoy the software. Personally, I think it's a steal at $45
